3. Just Hanging On

We're calling all bed wetters and ambulance chasers
Poor picker-pockets, bring 'em in
Come join the youth and beauty brigade

We're lining up the light-loafere'd
And the bored bench warmers
Castaways and cutouts, fill it up
Come join the youth and beauty brigade
Nothing will stand in our way.

Its seems like he had become one of the castaways and cut outs....His work had become irrelevant because of the the invasion of lower paid toilers who could write terse computer code a little quicker and cheaper than he could and because management could not smell the micro-waved scent of
Palak Paneer - (Yes that is Indian Spinach and Cheese for those non displaced) radiaiting from the banal corridors of cubicles pumping out mediocre work daily. Or maybe he was was casted away because he no longer cared because work had actually become work where he had to manage people who had the same ambitions that he did.

He had become a castaway.. a cut out in the Corporate World. And in a way that may be good along time back the crazy corporate world attempted to make him a sat away in his entiere family. Somewhere in the middle must be a delicate balance as he thought to himself as he rushed try to pay his fare for the train that was headed inot the city. "Portland the City that Works" half the time was like that when it came to use Mass Transit. The trains worked perfectly fine, but no matter how hard you tried you could not purchase a ticket for the train.
